Thanks to those of you who responded to our poll, we have your blessings to continue the Wreck Beach nude-only swims at Lord Byng pool. The October 2007 swim was booked at William Griffin pool because of the uncertainty of the municipal strike. Because of the earlier DST, your WBSC Coordinators have cancelled the June 21 swim.

Our Wreck Beach Swim Club is, NUDE-ONLY (NOT CLOTHING-OPTIONAL!). Swims are usually held 7:30 to 9:30 pm the THIRD Saturday of each month from September to June (see swim club schedule above). The pool is near Wreck Beach at 3990 West 14th Avenue, Vancouver, between Wallace and Crown, two blocks north of 16th Avenue, about three blocks west of Dunbar. If you drive around Lord Byng Secondary School, you will find the pool parking lot "fronting" West 14th Avenue. Just arrive Around 7:15 pm.

The Swim Club membership for the entire year is $5.00. However, at the door, Swim Club members only pay $6 per evening whereas non-Swim Club members must pay $8 per swim.

You are also welcome to join our often-noisy and enthusiastic water volleyball games regardless of your skill or age. Whether you are 10 or 100, you should at least be 4-feet tall so you can breathe!

Canada's oldest nudist club, the Van Tans, holds a nude-only swim, usually 7:30 to 9:30 pm on the FIRST Saturday of the month, September to June (see swim club schedule above). The swims are at William Griffin Recreation Center in North Vancouver, located at 851 West Queens Road near the beautiful Van Tan Club grounds but below the snow line! The rules are about the same. The rates are $5.00 and lockers cost 50 cents with no returns. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.vantan.ca

N.I.F.T.Y. holds its swims usually on the LAST (4th or 5th) Saturday of the month (see swim club schedule above) from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Templeton Pool, 700 Templeton Drive, just west of Nanaimo Street, 3 blocks south of Hastings Street, in East Vancouver. Skinnydipper swims are usually held 6:30 to 9:00 pm on the SECOND Saturday of each month from September to June. The location is Renfrew Pool, 2929 East 22nd Avenue, Vancouver, BC. Membership is required and application forms are available on their web site or at the swim. Swims $6.00 per visit with children 18 years and younger admitted free when accompanied by their parents. Coin operated lockers are available for 25 cents. Following each swim there is usually a get together for snacks at a local restaurant. All Skinnydipper swims are nude only.
